چکیده
: Spinal anesthesia is increasingly popular over general due to several advantages. Hypotension can complicate spinal during a cesarean section, which could have negative repercussions on the mother and fetus. This study aimed compare efficacy of low-dose norepinephrine infusion with boluses in managing hypotension among parturients undergoing section under subarachnoid block. Ninety-nine without comorbidities who underwent caesarean received were considered. They divided into three groups. Group A- Parturient 1 mcg/min rescue bolus 3 mcg treat hypotension. B- Norepinephrine 3mcg C- 5 All vitals at different intervals, number boluses, total amount consumed, maximum sensory level achieved, time for baby extraction following block, any adverse events documented. No statistical difference was noted group's demographics. However, there significant mean systolic blood pressure between groups from skin incision T6 T8. In addition, arterial two differed significantly throughout period suturing. Between groups, substantial needed. The required group B, followed by C. A minimum boluses. prophylactic an effective straightforward method reducing incidence magnitude no effect.

A Double Blind Randomized, Placebo Controlled Study Evaluating the Effect of Ondansetron in Reducing Spinal- Induced Hypotension Using Low Dose Bupivacaine in Parturients Undergoing Caesarean Section
Background: Spinal induced hypotension is the most common intraoperative complication after spinal anesthesia during cesarean delivery. Various adjuvant techniques/drugs had been used in the past to minimize the haemodynamic effects of spinal anaesthesia. Five-hydroxytriptamine (5-HT), a serotonergic receptor, may be an important factor associated with inducing the Bezold Jarish reflex (BJR) th...

Background & Objective: Dexamethasone has been emerged as an adjuvant to local anesthetics to provide optimal analgesia. We have evaluated the postoperative analgesic efficacy of adding a low dose dexamethasone to bupivacaine in ilioinguinal and iliohypogastric blocks in patients undergoing inguinal herniorraphy under spinal anesthesia. Materials & Methods: 50 patients in the range of 20 - 80 ...

Takayasu's arteritis is a rare form of nonspecific obliterative panarteritis of unknown aetiology. Anaesthesia for patients with Takayasu's arteritis is complicated by severe uncontrolled hypertension leading to end-organ dysfunction, stenosis of major blood vessels affecting regional circulation, and difficulties in the monitoring of arterial blood pressure. The anaesthetic approach for partur...

Background: Cataract surgery is one of the most common surgeries in the world, especially in elderly patients, and often performed topically with sedative agents. Ketamine is one of the most commonly used agents and the effect of different doses on intraocular pressure is in dispute. The present study investigates the effect of a low dose of ketamine on intraocular pressure in patients undergoi...
